Life happenings

Lately our life has been crazy busy/fun/exciting/stressful! I don’t know if everyone knows, but this summer Dustin was doing an internship for the church and we didn’t know if he was going to get a job after it was all said and done. He applied a million places, his “boss” at the internship was working so hard to find something for him and nothing was seeming to work out. It was stressful and scary but oh my heavens how it worked out! If I made a list of all the things that happened and how well everything worked out I would be able to convince everyone of a miracle. It was amazing and we were/are so blessed! He has a job at the church right now, at the Riverton office building, which is like 5 minutes away from our house, it has been really good and I love having him so close.

My sister Annie is getting married in 3 weeks! Holy cow it is so weird that she is old enough to get married! I have been deemed the wedding planner!? Yeah I don’t know that happened either? It has actually been really fun to have a vision and make it happen. Annie doesn’t care at all, so that has made it really easy for me to just say okay then do this… We are doing a vintage baseball theme, which has been so fun, they both love baseball and the Yankees and that is the reason that he asked her out in the first place so it’s pretty cute, if I do say so myself! We will see how it turns out. My house is a wedding construction zone at the moment, we, and when I say we I mean especially Dustin, will be happy when it’s over and we can have our house back.

2 weekends ago we went to Denver to visit Dustin’s sister and her family, Angie, Keith, Jackson and Layla. We had so much fun! We went to a pumpkin patch, watched Modern Family, ate a delicious burger, ate delicious ice cream, watched Modern Family, saw the bronco’s stadium, went and saw Red Rocks, watched Modern Family, had our first hell church experience with Reese, and our first airplane ride with Reese. We had so much fun and are excited to make it a tradition.

Last weekend I went to St. George with the girls in my family and had a really fun girls trip. It was with my dad’s side of the family, so me, my mom, my grandma Susan, aunt Amy, aunt Brooke, cousin Danielle and cousin Kori. Me and my mom stayed with her parents at their house, so I was able to see my grandparents which was so fun too! We went to the Tuahcan and saw Marry Poppins, which was so fun and so good! Then we just pretty much shopped till we dropped. Oh we also saw the Sarotov approach, which was amazing! Unfortunately this was the only picture I got.

The end

Starting from scratch

My Windows live writer hasn’t been working for months and months and so I figure instead of have a HUGE post of all the updates I will just start now.

Right now I am planning for girls camp, I am the camp director and we leave in about 2 weeks. It has taken over my life and my thoughts. I am excited to be there and get it all going, right now it’s just stress after stress after stress.

Reese is 9, yeah you read right, 9 months old! I can’t believe she is closer to 1 than when she was born, it blows my mind. She is 17 lbs 10 oz. 25%, 27” 45% and her head is 90%. She started in the 70% for her height and now she is down to the 45%? I don’t know how that happens, I guess my shortness is going to take over Dustin’s tallness, poor baby. She sure is getting cute and funny! At 9 months she:

• Has 2 teeth
• Thinks she is funny

• Is dancing, her favorite song is “Take Me to the Other Side” by Jason Derulo

• Waves
• Gives kisses
• Eats big girl food

• Is a mama’s girl!

• Has hand foot and mouth (will be good for me to remember in the future)
• Loves her bed
• Can point out noses
• Is NOT crawling, which I am not sure is such a bad thing?
• Responds to the Parks and Rec theme song every time she hears it

• Gets filled with love and pinches your face or neck or leg, yeah it kills
• Loves to tease Zoey when Zoey get whiney, she mocks and laughs at her
• Still loves Super Why!

• Bonks heads with daddy
• Actually is pretty funny

I could go on and on and bore everyone because I know it’s only cool to me and Dustin and her grandparents!

Dustin is doing an internship for the church, it ends September 6th, so we are just trying to find a job somewhere right now. We will see how it goes. It’s a little stressful, but we know it will work out how it’s supposed to, we just don’t know what “supposed to” is?  He is all graduated with his MBA (did a whole post on that but NO! Now you will never know!) It’s been so nice to actually have weekends with him and nights with him not having to worry about homework. I have really enjoyed the extra time we have had together.

All in all we are a happy family!

Graduation

DUSTIN GRADUATED! Holy moly am I stoked about this! He graduated on Friday with his Master’s degree, he got an MBA from Utah State University. He still has 1 class to go but they all walked this weekend. It’s funny graduations are pretty long and boring, and this one didn’t disappoint in that area, but when it’s your person it’s a little more tolerable. I was very proud. Dustin will hate this post I know it, but I am really proud of him.

From the day we started dating after his mission, he has been going full force at school and work trying and successfully supporting our family. I am comforted knowing that he is doing everything he possibly can to make me and our family happy. He has been going to school for 5 straight years and is finished with a Master’s degree, I think that is pretty impressive! He is a great husband and a great daddy and me and Reese both love him so much and are SO lucky to have him as the “Master of the house.”

After the LONGEST ceremony ever we took some pictures and waited for Triple A to come and unlock Bert’s car because he locked his keys in there! Our friend Danny Hill also graduated and him and his cute family was there. Their baby Owen is 2 months younger than Reese, haha, such a big boy! (they are going to get married)

Dustin’s mom also graduated that morning from the U. We are also so proud of her. She finished top of her class and got a couple awards, she went above and beyond!

Yay the freakin keys! “I’m never locking my car again, this is why I never do!” (okay so what about when the entire car is gone next time, Triple A has nothing for ya there!)

We had a great weekend with lot's of family and lots of fun. Here’s to June 20somethin’ when it’s all really over!!
