Our holiday’s are split up, every-other-year, with Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. This year we did Thanksgiving with Dustin’s family. Here are some of the highlights.
- Watching people who are hungry be ornery, I may be the most guilty of this one.
- Wanting to throw my pie crust out of the window because I don’t have the proper technique yet.
- Playing in the 1st biannual Waite family turkey bowl.
- Watching a WIDE open Lauren, screaming !Dustin, Dustin, Dustin!, him throwing a beautiful pass right to her, her eyes widening with excitement of scoring the first touch down of the game, and then watching the ball smack her right in the face while she fell to the ground.
- Watching everyone laugh hysterically at that first play of the game.
- Seeing Zach LET Angie run right past him for the touchdown because he “thought” she was in the endzone when she caught it.
- I mean Angie running so fast that it looked like no one else was moving when she scored her touchdown.
- Scoring a touchdown.
- Up by 1 touchdown with the clock winding down, my team, laying on the ground trying not to poop their pants, another adjusting the flags and another disciplining a child, while the other team is yelling stop trying to waste time! Picking up the ball and kicking it, being the only one running after Dustin who caught the ball, and them scoring. Ending the game in a tie.
- Having the most delicious turkey I have ever had. Deep fried baby!
- Worrying that my pies totally sucked and they were both gone within an hour.
- Becoming Jackson’s favorite aunt again.
- Seeing Arthur Christmas.
- Holding my nieces and nephews.
- Going to leatherby’s
- Watching Braxton and Preston downing an entire Amy’s hot fudge brownie in 32.6 seconds.
- Seeing 3/4 of Braxton’s finger up his nose, didn’t even know that was possible
- Getting AWESOME deals at the Nike store
- Being finished with Christmas shopping for everyone but my mom and Dustin because of the Nike store’s deals, and coming WAY under budget!
- Playing the most annoying game of catch phrase I have ever played
- Watching a sick Jeremy describe…It’s the stuff you throw on a Christmas tree!… His team guessing tinsel, Jeremy passing the thing, Nicole laughing so hard, saying…No it’s not! It’s UTENSEL.
- That being one example of many of Jeremy’s catch phrase struggles.
- Going to see the lights, even though 5 of the 8 of us didn’t want to go. Ended up having a great time.
- Being an amazing photographer of the temple.
- Having dinner just me and my in laws.
- Having a great weekend with a great family and being grateful for every single one of them, even the dogs.

Loved it all! I miss you guys already and I wish I'd gotten a picture of one of the hundreds of times Jackson was snuggled right up next to you. Even when he was stinkin up the room with his smelly toots. :)You're the best aunt and sister in law ever!
My only regret is that I didn't personally witness Lauren's attempted touchdown, haha! That made me laugh right out loud. Looks like you guys had tons of fun!
haha, oops, this is melissa, although I'm sure Jake would have loved that touchdown as well...:)
Haha I laughed out loud again remembering all of those good times. What a wonderful Thanksgiving break! I wish we could all get together like that all the time. And I am still sad I didn't catch the football... I would have had a touchdown! :( Anyway, thanks for posting, that was fun to read. I hope temple square was fun! I'm sad I missed that too!
That first play of the game just set the tone for the rest of the game. haha It described everything else that happened. So funny. Cute new background!
K-dogg you outdid yourself. Loved your comments. Thanks for not mentioning the blanket at temple square.
I enjoyed watching the game from a different prespective than the rest of you. You were a bunch of "kids" until your own children ran out on to the field and you had to play "grown up". Transformation was amazing to watch. Great blog Kaley. I especially love the picture of Reina in the pantry... what was she doing? Maybe trying to find some peach and quiet?
