Tomorrow I have the first softball game of the summer season with my friend April’s work team. I played last year too, we won the ship, Yeah baby!! I have played softball for 17 years and have never been more nervous than I am for the game tomorrow! This is why…

I got nailed by a line drive in left field, yeah yeah I know use my glove, I have heard that 1,000 times, but this guys hit it so hard I didn’t even have time to think about using my glove. It was a scary feeling, it didn’t hurt at all which was weird, but it instantly started growing! Nurses at the hospital kept coming in to my room and asking if I was the “softball girl.” When I was laying on the field, Dustin gave me a blessing, it was such a cool thing and a comfort knowing that everything was going to be okay. I had black eyes for about 3 weeks and was super embarrassed. Oh and the icing on the cake is the guy that hit the ball just went ahead and took the homerun, he didn’t even hesitate, the pitcher on my team tried to throw the ball at him, that was awesome. But it made it all worth it because my team battled and won the championship that night! Anyway moral of this post is I am just a little nervous to get out there again. Also to beg for forgiveness when I play like a sissy for a couple games!

Dustin sent me your blogs way and OH MY GOSH!!! Your poor eye/head! Haha I completely understand if the next few games you play a little timid... we use to have a girl in my league that pitched so crazy out of control that she broke 2 of my teammates arms...sadly that is why I ended up quitting :( You will do great! (And as a side note, I hope your pitcher had a good aim ;) )
