Houses, Taxes and Ducks, OH MY!

Houses:

As most of you know we are in the process of looking for a house. It is TERRIBLE! We have been looking for months now and have had no luck. Everything we find is a short sale, which means before foreclosure, which does not mean shorter. They should call it stupidslowbankownedbutdoesn’tgiveacrap sale. The ones that aren’t a short sale in our price range are really crappy houses, so we are pretty much stuck getting a short sale. We have even looked into building, don’t let them fool you, when you drive past a sign that says !STARTING IN THE $170,000’S! That means the house framed is $170,000 you add the front door and 2 windows and it is $200,000. So that isn’t really working out either.

Okay I am exaggerating, but that is what it feels like, so we are stuck in a funk trying to find something. We need all the help we can get so if you know someone that is trying to sell their house or if there is something in your neighborhood then PLEASE let us know!

Taxes:

Dustin just finished tax season, THANK GOODNESS! It was tough, for the last 2 weeks I haven’t seen him at all. All last week he didn’t get home till I was fast asleep, most of the nights I didn’t even know he was home till I woke up in the morning. I have had to do everything alone, sleep, eat, shop, watch Biggest Loser, House hunt (eyes rolling), cook, and the list goes on, I was getting pretty lonely it was just me and Zoers…

Which has been real fun, as you can see. If I don’t get some human interaction I am going to turn into the cat lady and I SO don’t want to be the cat lady. Thank goodness tax season is over.

Ducks:

So I have a story and pictures about one of the thousands of ducks at my apartment complex, but I have a stupid camera and it didn’t save the pictures. So this portion of my post will have to be postponed till a later date.
