FRIDAY
Dustin graduated!! Well he graduated in December but he walked last weekend. I was so proud, even though we were there from 8:30 am to 5:00pm I had fun and was SO proud of all his hard work! My mother-in-law came with us. We had a blast picking out the best seats in the house, eating lunch at Texas Roadhouse (Thanks Linda!!!) and talking.
Yeah I know if I was good at blogging I would draw an arrow to where he is, trust me he is there somewhere.
Sorry the next few pictures are pretty blurry, the room we were in was weird, if you used the flash it was really dark and if you didn’t it was really blurry so I chose the lesser of 2 evils.
Those are some of Dustin’s friends he had classes with his last year, in other words those are the people that he spent more time with than me.
This picture took 3 tries because he kept looking away……. Squirrel!
I LOVE this picture. It sums up how I feel about Dustin graduating. I can’t imagine how they all feel.
SATURDAY
We threw a bridal shower for my sister-in-law Lauren who is getting married June 4th, and had new baby Camden’s baby blessing which means that my other sister’s-in-law were in town which means my nieces and nephews (most of them) were in town!!! I am the oldest on my side of the family so it is going to be a long time, Annie it better be, before I have nieces and nephews. So when I got married I was so excited to get some nieces and nephews. It is actually the most amazing thing ever, you get to be their friend and then hand them over to mom and dad when they are having a tantrum, are hurt, have boogers, have poop in their pants, need to eat, need to go to bed, want to play something that you don’t want to play and the list goes on. I am just kidding I love helping them with all of the above!
Parker: this is the result every time you say smile! He is 20 months old and hilarious.
Camden: He is the newest baby in our family and the blessing boy, he is so sweet! He is 1.5 months old.
Layla: She is 4 months old and getting to the best age where she is still cuddly but smiles and laughs and all that. She lives in Colorado so we don’t get to see her that often
Makelle: She is going to be 4 in June and is smartest and sassiest 3 going on 16 year old I know. She took a nice long nap on me, it was the best!
Braxton: He is 8 and such a sweet boy, they couldn’t stop playing long enough get a picture of them so I had to crop it. One day he tapped me on the shoulder and said guess what?.. I said “what?” and then he kissed me on the cheek. He is so sweet!
Preston: He is 5 and this picture sums him up perfectly! He is a ball of energy and says the funniest things!
This is my favorite picture of the weekend, aren’t they both so cute?! This took many pictures to get this result…. as you can see below
This is the blessing day from left to right: Me, Dustin, Angie, Linda holding baby Layla, Bert, Josh holding baby Camden, Lauren (kinda), Makelle (front), Ang, Braxton (front), Matt (tall person in the back), Kelsey, Preston (front), Zach, Jeremy holding Parker boy, and Nicole. Wow a lot of people and really hard to list from left to right in the formation we are in, so I apologize.
Crazy picture, look how awesome Braxton looks! Flying in the air!
Shout out to Jackson who didn’t come with his mom he stayed home with his dad. I was sad, in the past me and Dustin have been his favorites, I hope that is still the case but I wouldn’t know because he hasn’t been here in so long, hint hint…
It was a wild and crazy weekend and I loved every minute of it!

Loved both the posts. Yay for graduating, I agree with everything you said about my mom and yours (based on what I know about and have seen with your mom) and you are still and likely always will be Jackson's favorite. He'll prove it in 4 weeks and hopefully Layla will be happier then too. :( Thanks for being such a great aunt!
Nieces and nephews are the BEST! Congrats on graduation Dustin-you are awesome!
So proud of you and Dustin. I'm glad you enjoy the craziness. I love and appreciate everything you have brought to our family. We think you're pretty special. There is definitely never a dull... or quiet moment around the Waite house when everyone is in town. Gear up for another wild and crazy week to come with the wedding.
